Carpenters’ Hall is a National Historic Landmark site in Independence National Historical Park that is owned and managed by The Carpenters’ Company of Philadelphia, founded in 1724 and now the country’s oldest trade guild and membership association.
Services: The site is free and open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday-Sunday (Wednesday-Sunday in January and February). Tour groups are welcome to visit without advance notice during regular business hours.

Elfreth’s Alley is one of the oldest continuously inhabited streets in the United States, celebrating 300 years of history. Due to community efforts beginning in 1934, the alley was saved from demolition and preserved as a national historic landmark.
Services: The Elfreth’s Alley Museum allows visitors to see the insides of two houses dating back to 1755 and learn about the people who lived there in the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries. We have two major fundraising events every year: Elfreth’s Alley Day in June and Deck the Alley in December – in which residents of the alley open up their homes and visitors enjoy vendors, performances, and special programs for all ages.
