Gallery Tour of the Exhibit “Revolution at Penn?”

June 6, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

The Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides (APT) has arranged a private tour of the exhibit “Revolution at Penn?” which examines the formation of the University of Pennsylvania, the debates that divided the school during the American Revolution, and the compromises that reorganized it as the University of Pennsylvania in 1791. University archivist Jim Duffin will lead a 90 minute tour of this exhibit on June 6 at 10 am. The tour will take place at the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, 6th floor.

Jim will explain how he made two of the maps in the exhibit, using a map from the American Revolution which appeared in a Philadelphia newsletter from 1775. The city wards were added for this exhibit.

This field trip is offered by Penn at no cost. To register email Mike Teti at vicepresident@phillyguides.org.
