The Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides stands with all parties protecting the signage presently in Independence National Historical Park, Philadelphia, and throughout our country’s National Park system. Americans deserve complete, accurate, and truthful information when they visit America’s historic and natural places. Information presented must always meet the highest standard of historical and scientific scholarship. Omission of this scholarship perpetuates misunderstanding and supports deceptive narratives. Any re-interpretation of National Park signage that does not inform the visitor of the entire story of a National Park site truthfully and accurately would indeed be inconsistent with truth and sanity.
