“Philadelphia’s Instruments of Freedom” with Seth Kaller

The Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides (APT) will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, July 13. The meeting kicks off at 7 pm at Philly’s Gourmet Steaks (114 Market St.) with a talk by Seth Kaller, “Philadelphia’s Instruments of Freedom.”

A display will include original documents:

  • Signer Roger Sherman’s copy of the Declaration of Independence

  • Rare September 1787 printing of the U. S. Constitution

  • Alexander Hamilton’s Financial Plan

Seth Kaller is a leading expert in acquiring, authenticating, and appraising American historic documents and artifacts. He has built museum-quality collections for individuals and institutions, as well as legacy collections for philanthropists to donate.

Documents that Seth has handled have since been exhibited at or acquired by The Smithsonian Institution, The National Constitution Center, Atlanta History Center, The Gettysburg National Civil War Museum, the New York Stock Exchange, Mount Vernon, The University of Virginia, Rice University, Yale University, the Skirball Cultural Center, The Kennedy Space Center, The Lincoln Museum, several Presidential Libraries and National Parks museums, and other notable institutions.

APT meetings are open to aspiring and working tour guides as well as anyone with an interest in Philadelphia-focused history. Attend one meeting for free and then it is $50 to join the association for the year or $10 per monthly meeting in-person event. Zoom meetings are free. Please join us for convivial company, good food, fascinating presentations, and lively discussions.

Discounted rates are being offered for 2022: $25 individual membership and $100 corporate.
