On Wed. January 13, the Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides (APT) will hold its first monthly meeting of 2021. It kicks off at 7 pm with a lecture, “Elfreth’s Alley During the Pandemic,” by Associate Director of the Elfreth’s Alley Museum, Ted Maust.

Join us to learn of the exciting new endeavors at one of historic Philadelphia’s most beloved landmarks!

In February of 2019, Ted Maust, a former American Studies instructor and 2018 master’s of public history graduate (Temple), was named associate director of the Elfreth’s Alley Association. The group works to preserve Elfreth’s Alley, the country’s oldest, continuously inhabited residential street. Located between Arch and Race off of 2nd Street, the alley has existed since 1706.

APT meetings are open to aspiring and working tour guides as well as anyone with an interest in Philadelphia-focused history. For the foreseeable future all meetings are free for anyone and all are welcome!
